I stood up. I felt as if I were floating inches above the floor and gently swaying from side to side.
The darkness was now gone and there was such an incredible feeling of peace.
I was laughing and crying - tears streaming down my face.

Peter got up and came over to put his arm around me - as he did he received an 'electric shock!'

The whole expeience so impacted me that even now 30 years on - if someone were to put a gun to my head and say "It never happened" - I would have to say "Yes it did"
I subsequently learned that what I had experienced was this thing called being 'Born Again' - it was the most thoroughly real experience of my life!

Some weeks later I was sitting at home reading the Bible - trying to learn whatever I could about what I had experienced, and also about this incredible person - Jesus.

I was reading in the New Testament - the second chapter of the Book of Acts.
The believers had gathered themselves together on the day of Pentecost - which was a Jewish feast day.
They were upstairs in a building having breakfast together . . . . . . . .

'Suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, which filled the whole house, and tongues of fire descended on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit . . . . . .'

As I read this account my mouth fell open - I realised - THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME! - Here was the perfect description of what I experienced on that evening in 1978.
Yet it was being experienced by these men nearly two thousand years ago!

The bible tells us in Hebrews Ch.13 v.8 - that Jesus is 'the same yesterday, today and forever'.

Since that wonderful day of meeting with Jesus, my life has changed in many, many ways. These days I spend much of my time trying to tell others about His great and life changing love. My wife Erika and I travel all over the world preaching, teaching and seeing miracles and changed lives.

He changed me - bit by bit - and my life is incomparably better because of it.
I have direction, fulfillment and happiness. The day of my decision to accept Jesus - [Yeshua] - and walk with Him, was the day that my name was written in 'The Lamb's Book of Life'

And I KNOW where I will spend eternity. - Do you?
